Treatment Spotlight: Le Grand Classique

You already know that removing makeup at night, proper cleansing and a good skin care regimen are the foundation for healthy and beautiful skin. Now let’s take that mindset one step further… Regular facials can play a vital role in removing impurities and deep cleansing pores while imparting radiance and vitality.

For the ultimate cleansing indulgence, Yon-Ka recommends Le Grand Classique. This uniquely customizable facial is 90 minutes long and features Yon-Ka’s five-step deep cleansing system.

Continue reading to learn more about this popular facial treatment for all skin types and the essential products used to assist in deep pore cleansing and balancing the skin.

Steps 1 & 2: Cleansing and toning with Emulsion Concentree

To start the treatment, skin is cleansed using the appropriate cleanser for your skin type and conditions. Through invigorating cleansing massage techniques, skin is both awoken and refreshed to prepare it for the full experience. Next, Emulsion Concentree is diluted to meet the needs of the client’s skin, then applied using a professional pulverizer. This machine delivers a cool mist of the product in order to aide it in penetrating the skin for extraordinarily deep hydration. The aromatic elements of Emulsion Concentree also help you to relax and settle into your treatment.

Close your eyes, take a deep breath and unwind as the fine mist gently massages and tones the skin and the soothing scents of the essential oils fill the room.

Step 3: Exfoliate and hydrate the skin with Gommage Yon-Ka

Once skin is prepped, exfoliation will begin with the application of Gommage Yon-Ka. Gommage Yon-Ka is a clarifying gel that provides a gentle four-in-one facial peel. A thick layer is applied to the skin to exfoliate, clarify, hydrate and balance. Your esthetican will remove the product using their hands, and Gommage Yon-Ka flakes off gently like little eraser peels. Instantly, skin will feel softer and more hydrated.

This gentle facial peel can also be done at home one to three times per week after cleansing.

Step 4: A second toning with Emulsion Concentree

At this point in the facial, the skin will be toned again using the pulverizer and diluted Emulsion Concentree. The skin has been exfoliated, and therefore it will be better able to absorb more of the therapeutic Emulsion Concentree to hydrate and treat the skin.

Step 5: Active Micro Peel will follow for deeper exfoliation

To further exfoliate the skin, Yon-Ka’s Active Micro Peel will be applied. This spa-grade exfoliation treatment deeply purifies and buffs away dead cells and reveal a more radiant, even skin tone.

Extractions are done to clear the pores and prevent breakouts

Depending on the nature of your skin type and concerns, extractions may be done to further cleanse the skin and prevent breakouts. Le Grand Classique is completely customizable so no treatment is exactly the same. Your esthetician will adjust each step depending on your individual needs and skin goals.

Based on your skincare needs, the appropriate treatment mask will be applied

To detoxify the skin and tighten the pores, a mask will then be applied.  For those with combination or oily skin, Masque 103 will be used. This purifying and clarifying mask is especially effective in treating those with excess oil, breakouts, and blackheads. This mask clears the complexion, tightens the pores, and leaves skin feeling smooth. Masque 103 can also be used as an at-home treatment one to three times per week.

Those with dry or sensitive skin will be treated with Masque 105. This mask is also purifying and clarifying, and is perfectly suited for those with more delicate skin types. Like Masque 103, Masque 105 is also available for home use and can help you maintain clear skin in-between treatments.
